Welcome to our feedback forum!

You will find all the ideas and their current status (planned, in review, etc).
Feel free to vote for them or add one if it does not already exists.

I suggest you ...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

  1. Add Timecodes

It would be useful to see the video timeline timecode in the left hand yellow margin when a text note has been added.

    • Edit In Google Drive

This is a fantastic idea/application. The integration with Google Drive is great but looses steam quickly because you cannot open the "note" or edit it directly in Drive. Add this feature and I can start using it in my classroom1

      • Save notes in subfolders

It would be nice to be able to select a subfolder to save the notes files, otherwise they all show up at the root directory of the google drive.

        • Place a short buffer on the time stamp.

I'll hear something profound, but by the time i'm able to click on the line or hit the enter key... that moment has passed and my comments now are for a space that was 1-2 seconds ago. I'd much rather click on the line and have it buffer to 3-5 seconds before that spot so I can either get some context or so that the video will at least align with what i'm trying to type in. Maybe this could be a small button option... like in Netflix they have a 10 second rewind...

              • Allow notes to be saved in .doc or .pdf

You can't see the notes in Google Drive preview, which is frustrating, you have to open up VideoNot.es. I would like it if they were saved in a different format that was compatible with other word processors.

                      Hey guys!

I’m glad to announce you that you can now speed up/down your videos in VideoNot.es!
It works on Coursera and Youtube videos.

For Youtube, you have to enable the HTML5 player to see the speed controls. Please visit this link to enable it: http://www.youtube.com/html5

In addition, due to a bug in Firefox with this feature (you can experience it on Coursera / Youtube as well) we have decided to disable it for the moment to provide you the best note-taking experience.
We have reported this issue to the Firefox team and we hope to see it fixed very soon!

So you can access it from Google Chrome and Safari.

Let us know if it workng well for you and if you like it!

                      Cheers,
                      Arnaud and Clément.

                      • Implement subtitles (captions) support in your video player

Please, consider implementing subtitles support in your video player. I.e. Coursera or Youtube allows to switch captions on. For Coursera users it is really important, since many of us, who are not native English-speakers, might not understand all what a lecturer tells.

                        • Multiple videos (VideoNot.es)

This it is either an idea or a bug report:)

I use Videonot.es it from my coursera lessons.

There u have 4-10 videos for each unit to see, and it would be a great add-on if i could take notes for all the videos.

(If this is already implemented, then this is a bug report... it always saves the last video)
